Dem internationalen Filmschaffen von Regiseurinnen und Animationsfilmemacherinnen widmen sich gleich 2 Festivals im März in Wien: am 2. März starten die FrauenFilmTage 2017 im MetroKinoKulturhaus, vom 16.-19.3.2017 finden dann das ebenfalls aus dem Kulturleben der Stadt nicht mehr wegzudenkende Animationsfilmfestival Tricky Women statt.

Also WANNABE the recent short by promising newcomer Jannis Lenz has been invited both into competition of Max Ophühls Festival in Saarbrücken (Medium Length Film) and into the international competition of the reknown short film festival in Clermont-Ferrand. TOUTES DIRECTIONS, youngest work by Billy Roisz and Dieter Kovacic will celebrate it´s world premiere, Georg Wasner´s multilayered found-footage essay Accelerando its internationale premiere. Michael Palm´s xaminations about the digital twist in cinema Cinema Futures can be seen as well as Jannis Lenz´ Zero-G and Friedl vom Gröller´s Ulrich Gregor & Heidi Kim at the W Hong Kong Hotel.
