Architectures

Architecture is a broad field. This program brings together works which present artificial spatial cartographies, unusual architectural portraits and deep structures of a small town. While Bruckmayr approaches his processual, autogenerated urban structures predominantly in an abstract manner, Krautgasser, Dabernig, Hollauf, Schreiber and Pirker concentrate on the respective architectural compositions, which are confronted and examined with production-related, personal or found histories. Finally, Brudniak and Madansky embark on a journey, "scanning" a tranquil place in the USA where 150 nuclear missiles are stored underground. Behind every surface, it seems, lies something hidden.
