DENKMAL
The sculpture DENKMAL, made of Gotthard-granite and weighing 22 tons, stands in the Giardino di Daniel Spoerri in Tuscany. Herbert Distl realized it in 1970 as a memorial to the polyester egg that crossed the Atlantic in the same year, driven by the constant Northeast trade winds. (Canaris project).
In the 2012 video of the same name, the stone egg is now exposed to the weather vagaries of its environment.
